Why merchants leave Shopify

Made for the Bulgarian market

Cash on delivery, Bulgarian couriers (Econt, Speedy), invoices and the courier's receipt under Ordinance N-18 are part of the platform, with no subscription apps.

  • Cash on delivery without an app
  • Econt, Speedy and other couriers
  • Invoices under Bulgarian rules
  • A team in Bulgarian

Three paths, the same result

You choose by your timeline, team and catalog. There is no third party between you and us.

We migrate the store for you

People from CloudCart, not an outside agency. We move the products, customers, articles and content, keep the order history, and set up a 301 redirect from every old URL. You keep selling.

  • €0 with a 24-month contract, until Dec 31, 2026
  • Up to 45 days, however heavy the migration
  • A contact person and a plan with dates
  • The old store sells the whole time

How to request it: in the new store's admin, Services → Migration.

Migrate on your own, with the ready-made apps

The Shopify app in the admin moves products with their variants from the standard Shopify CSV export. Customers and redirects from old URLs are uploaded from a CSV file.

  • Products with variants and images
  • Categories and customers
  • 301 redirects from CSV

A good fit if you know your catalog well. Some of the imports are part of the higher plans.

Migration · import appsin the admin

The links lead to the admin sign-in, and each app is in Apps under its own name. The import is one-time, and the old store is not changed.

Programmatically, through the Admin API

The Admin API is for teams that want to migrate programmatically and verify every record: products, images, categories, customers with addresses, articles and redirects. The result is the same store, only the path is technical.

  • Up to 10,000 products at a time
  • Customers with addresses
  • Redirects through the API

What moves: the catalog, customers and your positions in Google and AI search

We take the data through the export or API, nothing by hand. Every old URL gets a 301 redirect, and llms.txt and structured data help AI.

  • Categories and filters
  • Customers: name, email and group
  • Order history, kept with us

What stays

Your customers won't notice the change

  • The old store sells until the switchThe new one is built and tested on the side, without customers knowing.
  • Every old URL redirects to the new one (301)For search engines the page has moved, not disappeared.
  • Ad parameters pass through the redirectgclid, fbclid and the main UTM tags reach the new URL, and clicks from Google and Meta keep being tracked.
  • The domain stays yoursIt is pointed to the new store, and the certificate is issued and renewed on its own.
  • Email doesn't stopEmail stays with your current provider: the records for it (MX) are added in the domain settings.

What Shopify costs you

Calculate the extra fee

Without Shopify Payments, Shopify adds a fee on every order. Choose your turnover and the percentage from your contract. In CloudCart you pay a fixed monthly plan and 0% of sales, however much you sell.

Shopify transaction fee
Transaction fees for one year€12,000
Over five years€60,000
Transaction fees in CloudCart for the same turnover€0

The calculation is approximate: turnover × percentage × 12 months. It does not include the card processor's fees, which are separate on every platform.

Shopify prices are from shopify.com for Bulgaria, billed yearly, per month: Basic €19, Grow €56, Advanced €289. The transaction fee without Shopify Payments is 2%, 1% and 0.6% respectively.

Questions

Questions about migrating from Shopify

01 / 14

How do I migrate an online store from Shopify to CloudCart?

Two ways: our team moves everything from Shopify within 45 days, with no pause in sales, or you migrate on your own with the apps in the admin. Old URLs get a 301 redirect, and your Google rankings are kept.

02 / 14

What happens to the apps I pay for in Shopify?

We go through them together. Many are built into CloudCart, and for the rest we tell you honestly what exists and what does not.

03 / 14

Can I migrate the store myself?

Yes. The Shopify app in the admin moves products with their variants from the standard Shopify CSV export (Products → Export). Customers and redirects from old URLs are uploaded from a CSV file.

04 / 14

What happens to my Google rankings?

They are kept. We move the URL structure, titles and descriptions, and set up a 301 redirect from every old URL.

05 / 14

What happens to customers and their accounts?

We move their profiles: name, email and group. Passwords are not moved: customers set a new one the first time they sign in.

06 / 14

What happens to orders and accounting?

We move the order history and keep it separately with us: it is available when you need it for reference or accounting. New orders and invoices start in CloudCart, and we connect your accounting software.

07 / 14

What happens to payments and couriers?

We set them up before launch: Bulgarian couriers such as Econt and Speedy (DPD Bulgaria), cash on delivery, cards and bank transfers.

08 / 14

Do sales stop during the migration?

No. The new store is built at a CloudCart address while the old one keeps selling. When everything is tested, the domain is pointed to the new store at a time you choose.

09 / 14

What happens to the domain and email?

The domain stays yours and stays the same. It is pointed to the new store, and the SSL certificate is issued automatically. Email stays with your current provider: the records for it (MX) are added in the domain settings, and email does not stop.

10 / 14

How long does it take and how much does it cost?

Up to 45 days, however complex the migration, and the old store keeps selling in the meantime. Migration by our team is €0 with a 24-month contract, until Dec 31, 2026.

11 / 14

Is it only migrated through CSV or XML?

No. Besides CSV and XML (one-time or with automatic sync) there are ready-made importers for WooCommerce, Shopify and Magento, and the Admin API for programmatic migration. Our team also migrates through the old platform's API, and when there is no export, takes the data directly from the old site. Customers, blog articles and 301 redirects are also uploaded from separate CSV files.

12 / 14

Are the old URLs of images and files moved?

Images are uploaded with the products and get new URLs with us. Redirects apply to the store's pages: products, categories, articles.

13 / 14

What happens to my visibility in ChatGPT and AI search?

More and more people ask ChatGPT, Gemini or Google AI where to buy. We prepare the store with llms.txt and structured data.

14 / 14

Who helps me after launch?

A Bulgarian team answers by phone and email, and your contact person stays the same after the migration.
